Have you ever googled yourself? It's pretty strange when all your networks show up and images as well. It's unbelievable how people are soo wrapped up in this cyber world. We are all connected through twitter, youtube, myspace, blogspot, tumblr, facebook, aim, e-mails, etc. etc. but we're losing ourselves in these social networking sites. There are so many people that I can think of at the top of my head, that I personally am only contacted by, through these sites. What ever happened to giving me a call just to see what's up? Who cares about wasting my minutes, I want to hear your voice and hear your reactions. Not just interprete what you're trying to convey over a screen. What about privacy? We've pretty much lost that aspect in the cyber world as well. Whether you want the world to read every little problem you've got by posting it everywhere so humanity can take notice, or whether you took a few pictures here and there. If you really want to confront someone about issues, I think the best way is the old fashion---one on one technique. Wouldn't you agree? We've made it completely feasable to allow others to stalk us which can lead to drama here and drama there. Why would you want the whole world to know the private information going on in your life? Your inflictions? I think it's histarical when people see one little change or update on someone's profile and they immediately think of a million possibilities or a million "what ifs". Why not just ask the person themselves what's going on, rather than assuming and putting a burden on your shoulders thinking about things? Hypocritcal, yes, but I usually don't try to assume the worst myself. Unlesss it's the complete obvious. I've recently had a chat with my school's administration about cutting down on our social networking because it really has become this epidemic--which isn't always a good thing. I guess I'm just rambling on and on, but you get the point.
